Tomorrow morning, pro-choice abortion activists will hold what we hope will our last protest urging NSW Parliament to decriminalise abortions.
Later tomorrow, the Legislative Council Committee that has inquired into the NSW Reproductive Health Care Reform bill will table it report. Then the final debate will begin.
Tonight, Altmedia's City Hub published my story about the amendment process that risks undermining the bill, which is designed to ensure safe and timely abortion services for NSW women.
Here is my story.
Earlier in August, I was one of more than 60 women who signed a statement challenging the criminalisation of abortion in the NSW Crimes Act and calling on the government to arrest us for having abortions. More than 40 years ago, I signed a similar statement. He is my story about #arrest me.
I also published this story which reviews the history of the long battle to reform the law.
